During a physical therapy, our physicians evaluate your muscular strength, balance, and firing activity in conjunction with movement patterns, form, and flexibility to retrain. These physical therapy exercises target individual muscle groups and promote function.
We empower our patients to take their recovery and health into their own hands through education and at home physical therapy programs to continue our in-office training.
While physical therapy on its own is effective, we often integrate physiotherapy techniques (link to therapeutic boosts page) like massage, stretching, heat therapy, and soft tissue work as an added benefit.
Using our holistic physical therapy approach, we give our patients the edge they need to heal efficiently and prevent further injury.
Athletes push their bodies to the limits in effort to gain every advantage possible on their competitors. This can be in the gym lifting heavy weights or maximizing speed on a treadmill. When pushing your body to the max, injury is almost inevitable. Our team of physicians and exercise therapists help athletes recover from injury and increase performance using physical therapy.

As Doctors of Chiropractic, we have some of the most in depth training regarding movement efficiency and retraining. Many of our physicians and support staff were athletes and had experience with exercise, training, and rehabilitation prior to joining our team.
Our rehab teams incorporate a hard to find combo of philosophies and techniques including Anatomy Trains, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, Active Release Therapy, Rock Tape/Kinesiotape, Functional Restoration and more. Furthermore, we customize each physical therapy program to improve fascial communication, scar tissue remodeling, neurological re-education, and more to address the source of your pain and dysfunction & catalyze your results.
The duration of physical therapy typically depends on your injury or what you want to accomplish. For example, if you sprain/strained your ankle over the weekend, that will generally take only a couple weeks to get the pain calmed down. If you’re looking to make sure you fully restore muscle function and strength, that will take longer. Rehab will also take longer when pealing back layers of compensation and reprograming movement patterns.
You can also speed up recovery by coupling your visits with supplementation, and following at home recommendations and exercises.
It’s best if you wear clothes you can move in. Exercise-appropriate clothes like comfortable t-shirts, shorts or pants are ideal. If the weather outside is colder, we have bathrooms and designated areas where you can’t change if needed. Also, don’t stress if you forgot/forget to change, we can generally work with whatever you’re wearing, we just may be limited in what we can do on that particular day.
Physical therapy is typically covered by insurance but that is office and insurance dependent. Our Life Activated Partnerships (link to page) include physical therapy among many other benefits and our pricing is based on a monthly charge rather than a per appointment basis. Visiting us can be a lot more cost-effective when you have recurring appointments you need to attend rather than a traditional doctor or physical therapy clinic. Care in our office is also HSA eligible and we are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit for reimbursement.
Our appointments range between 30 -90minutes, depending on the individual, condition, types of services being completed, if this is your first appointment and we are going over health history, and more.
We take the time to get to know you, your ailments, and how we can best help you improve your health.
At this point, you are feeling better than you ever thought you could as you are feeling energized and thriving. You have learned a lot about your body, you are moving more efficiently, you understand your body’s cues, and you have a good idea of what to do with these cues. This means you get to try new things, achieve new goals, and conquer new challenges! As you do, we will be here as your resource, as needed, to help you nourish, boost, and refresh your health.
Pain is generally the last symptom to show up and the first to go away. This means that by the time you realize there is a problem, there has been a problem for a long time. Especially for chronic or recurring issues, understanding how you got to where you are is so important for getting to where you want to go. In this stage of your journey, you will resolve underlying dysfunction, remove cheats, and retrain habits. As we aid you in activating your body’s natural healing potential, we will help you regain movement, energy, and body function both inside and outside. Throughout this process, you will start to feel greater ease and inspiration as you restore communication and efficiency in your body. Together, we will constantly assess, observe, and reassess your body’s responses to boost your results.
You are your own person, with your own collection of life events which brought you to where you are today. You deserve to be heard, seen, and treated as the individual you are. Your journey begins with your Discovery Evaluation. This first visit includes your exam which works to uncover the root of your issue(s), new patient diagnostics, and, of course, your first treatment. This is how we will help you begin connecting the dots and feeling better. After your first treatment, we will ask you to observe your body’s responses– good, bad, or indifferent. There is no wrong answer as this is just starting point information and direction for moving forward. In your second visit, we will review this feedback and your diagnostics to further identify potential underlying causes and compensations. We will combine everything we have learned about you, consider your goals, and together create a plan to resolve your concerns from the roots up.
